I recently stumbled upon a blog entry with several great examples of the animated GIF format taken to a whole new level. It’s being referred to as a Cinemagraph and I think it’s fantastic and a lot of fun.

I gave it a try and you can see the result below. Nothing earth shattering or mind blowing, but a fun, little example that brings the photo to life. I’ve got a lot to learn still and plan on trying a few more of these in the near future.
