It’s that time of year when we send out Christmas cards to close friends and family and I suppose like many people these days, we have these names and addresses on our iMac. Using Address Book has always been hit and miss for me over the years mainly because Chris and I have different user accounts and I’ve never had much luck syncing address book databases.

As such, we’ve resorted to just using that industry standby, Microsoft Word. For the past several years, I’ve maintained a Word document that is pre-formatted for Avery labels that we use and just added the rows needed if the list grows. But not this year. Chris wanted to alphabetize the list in Excel. So now I had to figure out how to go from Excel to Word to Labels. Fortunately, it was pretty easy. Here’s how I did it. Continue reading →
